🎮 How to Play NYT Strands
NYT Strands is a unique word game combining elements of a traditional word search, crossword puzzles, and Connections. The game features a daily puzzle that contains 48 letters on a 6x8 grid. Like a word search, your job is to find hidden words in the puzzle, but the letters can connect in any direction, even diagonally.
The goal is to uncover a spangram, a word (or words) that touches two opposite sides of the board and ties the overall puzzle together with a theme. The spangram might be one word or two; it depends on the day. All the other hidden words will be related to this theme.
💡 Did you know:
The word spangram is a play on the word pangram, a noun meaning a phrase that contains all the letters of the alphabet.
Need some hints? Every three non-themed words you find in the Strands puzzle will give you a hint. The hint shows the letters of a themed word you haven't yet seen, but you'll still need to figure out the order of the letters.
