• Elimination: When you figure out where to place the first Queen, you will immediately eliminate a full row and column. This is your starting point, and it’s important to x out the squares in which you know a Queen cannot be placed.
• Check the colors: The colors are an important aspect of Queens. Based on where you placed your first Queen, there’s a good chance you’ll find another placement based on the rule that one queen must be placed in every colored area.
• No touching: Remember, the Queens cannot touch horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. If you are stumped, double-check that you’re following this rule!
• One solution: Remember, there’s only one correct solution for each daily Queen puzzle. That means if you aren’t sure, there’s no need to guess; you are likely missing something so carefully review your options.
